Corps à Coeur (Body to Heart) (United Kingdom) by Jenny Barruol
In the picturesque village of Mazan in Southern France, known for the Gisèle Pélicot rape case, the ‘Lucky Horse’ farm offers free horse therapy to women rebuilding their lives after domestic and sexual violence. Corps à Cœur, which translates to ‘Body to Heart’, follows Nathalie, Priscilla, and Latika, three women at different stages of healing, guided by their facilitator, Manon. Through intimate encounters with horses, they learn to reclaim trust, confidence, and a sense of belonging within their own bodies. Interweaving the women’s testimonies, poetic reflections, and the language of nature, the film evokes a sensory and symbolic journey from fragmentation toward healing. Corps à Cœur explores the after more than the before, looking at the complex act of rebuilding, of learning that the body, once broken, can once again become a home.

The years when I didn't film (Netherlands) by Froukje van Wengerden
A cinematic essay about the chaotic experience of time in which the filmmaker expresses her transformative experience of motherhood through intimate correspondences, still photographs of her birthplace, and dutch archival footage. I was born on the sea dyke. On my 14th birthday, I received a camera with a single roll of black-and-white film and wandered through the meadows. Fifteen years later, I live in the city and make films. The prints of my very first roll of film are found in the house where I grew up. I see a landscape that I miss. Back in the meadows, I will have two children in one year. Unprepared for my new role as a mother, I am constantly torn between exhilaration and exhaustion. Stasis sets in. Days and nights become one. Time contracts and expands; distorts. Days seem endless; months fly by. With my children, I wander through the meadows of my youth. I am never alone anymore, and yet I feel lonely. As the children grow older, time once again becomes just something that slips through your fingers. I look at my photos and reflect on the years gone by. I gaze at my mother from a distance and realize that she, too, is a mother. I look at the meadows and see a landscape I still miss. And I know: everything passes.
